Help Vegan cheesecake mixture tastes 'cheesy'

I have been attempting to bake a lotus Biscoff cheesecake (vegan), and I picked up vegan cream cheese in the supermarket (there was only one) but now I have made the filling it has a tangy cheese taste to it! I then added caramel to it and extra biscoff spread, but it has not helped! Is there any saving the mixture or do I need to start again?
