Halfing meat, will it half the cook time?

The original recipe calls for 3 lbs of boneless pork shoulder/pork butt. I am supposed to cook it at 475 for about 50 minutes.

However, I am using 1.5 lbs. How will this impact my cook time? Thanks!

Assuming all things equal other than weight, yes. The meat should cook in roughly half the time. There are lots of lb/time guidelines out there. My only concern would be making sure you allow enough time for the collagen and other connective tissues to fully gelatinize if you are going for fork tender. You could also consider cutting it up into smaller pieces to further speed the cooking process.
