About that halved stock cube:

Couldn't you dissolve it in the water first and then add the mixture to the spinach? It would avoid the problem of undissolved stock cube hiding amidst all that yummy spinach.

I thought the same thing when I read through the recipe, and that's what I'd do too. Seems kind of like the sensible way to go.
