Long-time user of the site and I'm finding this increasingly distracting, frustrating, and unnecessary. Thank you!

I used to use Food52 a lot, but the popup ads are now rendering the site unusable. So sad. Is there any way around this?

I noticed recently an alarming increased number of pop up adds and videos. It is starting to feel like pinterest and food network. It is very distracting - I am here to find recipes in the community recipe bank and have thoroughly enjoyed food52 since 2013!! Please provide a way to opt out of ads.

Lots of recipes on our site don't have them, but otherwise might be helpful to make sure to mute as you browse.
