I agree with you and AJ. I wouldn’t put ranch on a salad let alone a pizza. But, to each his/her/their own. My only thought was more along the lines of the flavors from a corn chowder - so perhaps a white sauce with fresh thyme and Parmesan.
It's really up to you based on the flavor preferences of those who will be sitting at your dinner table.
My first inclination would be to replace the ranch dressing with a very thin layer of tomato sauce. Tomato and corn have a natural affinity which is unsurprising given that both are New World native crops. It already has enough dairy, it doesn't need to be another cream-based ingredient.
Another approach would be to replace the ranch with a similar ingredient without the ranch flavor profile. I would think that sour cream/yogurt/Mexican crema mixed with lime juice would be a great substitution for the ranch dressing. Another liquid might be the pickling juice from jarred jalapeno peppers.
You could reintroduce the onion flavor by adding some thinly sliced onion on the pizza, perhaps red onion to perk up the presentation.
I'm imagining that chopped kimchi might be a whimsical substitution.
Again, it's up you to adapt these dishes the way that will appeal to those who are going to eat it.
A good thick Caesar dressing would be marvelous on this, instead of the ranch (I hear you on that, by the way . . .). You want something with a fair bit of flavor, given the other ingredients on this pizza. I'd probably stir some chopped chives into it, as well. ;o)
