Better wording would have eliminated this confusion.
One can't add 100 grams of water to 200 grams of dry ingredients and end up with 100 grams of product regardless of how good or bad one's math is.
How the recipe should be written is to add the boiling water until the 100 grams are incorporated with the dry mixture. "Slowly add the 100 grams of boiling water until it is fully incorporated" is really how it should have been written.
