No blender...Can I do this in the food processor?

If you want a smoother texture regardless whether you use a blender or food processor it's probably worth trying to force the purée through a wire strainer or food mill.

Just try a small amount like a quarter cup to start.

These are great suggestions. I bet a food mill would give you a nice texture.

Hi Merrill, you CAN use a food processor. The editors and I decided to leave that instruction out because you don't get the super silky texture in a food processor. Your puree will taste great but it wont have the same texture - it will just be a little chunkier. Hope you enjoy!

Letting you know...I just made it and used an immersion blender. Absolutely amazing, smooth and silky. I used chicken broth and just a touch of cream. Perfect recipe!
