Nutmeg nubs? TOO small to grate! How’ve do I use them?

Grind them in mortar with a pestle.

Or, buzz up in a blender or coffee grinder. Or save to use in stews where nutmeg is called for.

I put my cut-proof gloves on and mush the nubs against the microplane until there's almost nothing left. If I really can't grate it anymore, I toss it.
