"buttered" and floured pan? Doesn't that make the cake not vegan?

Are you using vegan butter to "butter" and flour your pan or are you using regular butter, which would make the cake NOT vegan?

Some writers need editing more than others.

A better wording would be "grease and flour". Use whatever non-dairy oil you have handy which includes baking sprays.
