For the raw strawberry cheesecake, it says 1 cup strawberries

Question

The recipe says 1 cup of strawberries. Perhaps I'm dense but is that whole strawberries or sliced, chopped. Of course, sliced or chopped would be much more than whole. Don't want to mess it up for our meal! Am right in the middle of making it.

I think it means whole strawberries.
