What type and pound quantity of cucumbers?

What type of cucumber would you recommend and how many pounds total? The photo looks like the standard waxy American cucumber, which can vary in size a lot. Thanks!

I would use English cucumbers or hot house cucumbers. The others have no flavor.

From the photo it looks like a regular cucumber that you'd get at the grocery store.
