Why is there always whey inbetween my parfait after it is kept in the fridge,plus my Greek yogurt was strained

The whey in yogurt will naturally separate out as it sits, even in a Greek yogurt some whey remains … are you making a parfait far in advance? The easiest solution is to construct the parfait right before serving, so you can stir the whey back in.

Bubbles - not sure about your parfait, but here is some general information on yogurt separating into whey and solids - why it happens and whether safe to eat.

PS I generally use a Balkan yogurt, which is about midway between average and Greek in thickness, and it often separates. When that happens, I just stir it back together for whatever dish or meal, and proceed.
