Amount of strawberries in the jam

Question

The list of ingredients says 1-1/2 pounds of strawberries hulled, quartered and divided.  Why/how are they divided? do you mean to only use one pound in the jam and the other 1/2 pound in the assembly??

Hi Gwyn, thanks for your comment—it looks like the "divided" was an unintended addition on both fronts. Please use all of the strawberries in the jam as directed in the recipe steps, and use one full cup of sugar to make the sweetened mascarpone cream for the icebox cake filling. Thanks!
