I’ve not done the broccoli substitution for this recipe but yes for others , and it worked well. Your savoury pie will taste slightly different, but still very good. Both vegetables are members of the same brassica family - and switching among them (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, etc) is an easy and convenient way to change tastes, take advantage of what’s in season or in your pantry.
Nancy, thank you for responding. I will most likely give it a try. Love the original but have some family members who can no longer tolerate cauliflower.
