Can this be made up to a point before baking?
Looking to make a day ahead, then bake after work. Bring to room temp first?

Yes bring to room temp if you have the time.
Otherwise straight from fridge to oven, but start oven at lowish temp (to prevent scorching or burning), then after 15 min or so bring up to rdd we gulag oven temp.
