I have the food 52 calrose rice and there are no instructions on the package - how long does this cook for and what is the ratio of water to rice?

From my own personal experience: I would use a 1:1 (vol/vol) ratio to start. You can always add more water if it is a little dry (couple TB at a time, until absorbed and rice is soft but not sticky wet). Some directions use 1:1.25 ratio but I have found that to be too much water, resulting in mushy sticky "wet" rice.

It can also depend on how old the rice crop is. That's why the better brands will have a crop year and it's usually the current year. An older crop batch will often need more water.
