Red, White and Brew Theme Ideas

Need some ideas for a potluck item that fits the theme "Red, White and BREW" I want to avoid strawberries (because its obvious) and I don't like beer. I could do a tea infusion... other ideas?

Hi there!

This sounds like such an incredible party theme! Here are a few recipes (sans strawberries or beer) that I think would work beautifully for your event:

One Red- Spicy Watermelon with Tomatoes, Prosciutto & Salted Lime Yogurt: https://food52.com/recipes...
One White: Sicilian-Style Ice Cream: https://food52.com/recipes...
One Blue: Blueberry and Rye Slab-Pie: https://food52.com/recipes...

Have fun!

You could brew hibiscus tea for the red/brew component. Brie cheese with Lingonberry sauce/jam with water crackers... for the red & white.

I like your idea of a tea infusion (it's still a brew, and provides an alternative for those who don't like beer). Similarly, you could do cold brew coffee in two pots - one black, one with cream.

Another idea (haven't made it yet, but it's on my list to do soon) is a berries and cream "charcuterie" board...with various berries, sweet whipped ricotta and various cakes and cookies. It has strawberries, but you can just omit them and use more of the other berries.
