Seed oils. Canola? Coconut? Tallow even?

Could coconut oil be used in place of canola? I am trying to eliminate seed oils and canola from my diet.

Another idea - Alice Waters in her first Chez Panisse cookbook has a great recipe for olive oil cake which also features peaches (also Sauternes, but who’s counting?).

So, if you and your like olive oil in desserts, it’s worth trying.

And if you have a special occasion or just want to indulge, serve the peach tart with some chilled Sauternes…😊

Hi Jul, I just chatted with Amanda and she says coconut oil is a great substitute! Tallow, not so much.

I hope this helps!
