Kathy - And after Thanksgiving how will you use the cardamom? Consider: * More Scandinavian dishes, both savory and pastries * In many curry and Persian stew dishes. * In coffee (as a flavoring with the grounds) on in whipped cream used as garnish. Enjoy!
Hi Kathy! The recipe calls for green cardamom seeds that you grind at home in a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle. Store-bought ground cardamom will be ground into a much finer powder, so I'd recommend reducing the amount you add by half. Also, if you bought ground black cardamom instead of ground green cardamom, you might want to taste as you go and potentially adjust how much cardamom and sugar you use! Black cardamom has a more savory flavor profile than green cardamom does. Thanks for your question and good luck :)
