What is almond paste? Same as almond butter?

Agree with above. Are you having trouble finding almond paste for a recipe? I have tried and had no luck. As a substitute, I used marzipan, added crushed almonds, and reduced the sugar in the recipe, and it worked pretty well. Hope this is helpful!

No, not the same. Almond paste is made from blanched almonds and often has some sugar. It's used in marzipan and cooking. Almond butter is made from roasted almonds. It's a lovely alternative to peanut butter.
