How do you make almond butter?

Do you need some liquid to get almonds broken up?

you gring toasted nuts til they release their oils and make a paste. requires a powerful machine. maybe once you've ground to a fine meal,a bit of nut oil helps start that last stage of the process. but no other kind of liquid would work.
