apple bundt cake with cream cheese filling and caramel pecan glaze
what does the 1 cup sugar, + 1/2 cup (divided) mean in the cake part of the recipe?

One cup of the sugar gets creamed with the butter in step 2. 1/2 cup gets mixed with the cream cheese in step 3.
From reading the recipe I take it to mean beat one cup of the sugar with the half cup of butter and the other half cup of sugar with the cream cheese.
