Post a recipe

I can't find the current contest (roasts). On the Contests tab, Current brings up root vegetables as the current one. And I can't find anywhere how to post a new recipe. What am I missing or doing wrong?

To add a recipe, put your browser on "Recipes" at the top left, under the FOOD52 logo. It should show a drop-down menu, with "Add a Recipe" at the top. Click on that. A blank recipe form will appear. ;o)

Thanks for the pointer. However, it just took me 6 tries of clicking on Recipes to successfully get to Add a Recipe without the whole drop-down disappearing.

There is a link to "Your Best Roast", in the second box down, on the right of the photo area where the two finalist root vegetables are displayed on the Contest Page. I clicked on it, but nothing happened. (I got a blank screen.) But that, I suppose, is how you find the current contest. ;o)

This is going to take a LOT of getting used to! I find everything is loading very slowly, recipe search did not find what I was looking for... The images are so big that it will take lots of 'pages' to get through... I feel an ADD attack. Assuming we'll adapt -- yes?

I honestly don't know if I want to say I hope so or maybe not. Pages are full to the point of being overwhelming. Even one's personal recipe pages want to drag readers in all sorts of directions. Yes, recipe search is not working well. I'm getting logs of no match results. And the lavender and gray (?) and pale green font colors are seriously making my eyes water.

I have been working on figuring everything out today also, when you click on contests only root vegetables comes up so we can't see what roasts have been submitted but you are right you can add a recipe to the contest. I think its still a work in progress so there are bound to be snafu's. Its amazing that we can do anything at all given the scale of the work they are doing. I am hoping tomorrow everything will be up and running close to 100%.

sdebrango, you're exactly right, it's still a work in progress. And as Amanda and Peter have said before, all the bugs are being addressed and patience is appreciated!
