These all look very inventive. Sorry to be late to the testing party. But will have to try a few on my own this weekend!

Jennifer Ann, I would be happy to relinquish the kimpira to you if you would like. I don't want to be an over tester!

Sagegreen, that is very sweet of you, but you were first (sorry i missed that!), so please go ahead and test. I have a burdock in my crisper, and so will make too, and put my notes in the comment section instead :) Never had burdock and so I am very interested in giving it a try!

Thanks, Jennifer Ann. I love how kind and civil everyone is on this site! It is just the best. Btw, I happen to have burdock and shichimi togarashi, which I hardly ever use! If you change your mind and prefer to submit your review to the editors, just let me know. But, otherwise I will send my review to them.

You're welcome! I'm excited to try it. I'm out of light rum so I'll have to pick some up - is there a brand you'd recommend for this?

I used Cruzan, but I am sure Bacardi would work as well. Wonder how it would taste with a golden rum ....

I'll happily test the Eating Rabbit Food: Carrot and Rutabaga Mash. Haven't cooked with rutabagas in ages, and I love, love, love simple vegetable combinations like this. ;o)
