Has anyone heard of a mexican sauce made from black corn. Like a mole type sauce.

Thanks Kaupilimakoa! It is huitlacoche, otherwise known as "Mexican Truffle". It is the blackened corn kernel or fungus that grows on corn and has a earthy, sweet and savory flavor. Turns black when heated and makes a wonderful mole type sauce for fish or chicken. We ate it in Playa del Carmen, Mexico where it was called "black corn" sauce. Thanks again!
