I am going to be on the Upper West Side of NYC for a few days and am looking for some restaurant recommendations - thank you!

Time Warner Center at 59th/Columbus Circle has some very expensive restaurants that are special( http://www.theshopsatcolumbuscircle...)
Vegan -Candle Cafe (http://www.candlecafe.com...) 89/bway
Celeste on Amsterdam Ave between 84th and 85th St. The restaurant is a neighborhood institution and always packed. It's' on the casual side and reasonably priced. No reservations and cash only.
Another vote for Telepan, one of the city's best farm-to-table restaurants; I like Nice Matin too. Also excellent, but more expensive, are Daniel Boulud's two places across from Lincoln Center, Boulud Sud and Bar Boulud.
I love The Lincoln - when we were there last they had a mix and match negroni bar. If you sit at the bar, you have a beautiful view out of the big glass windows. Also, for more casual bistro fare, Cafe Luxembourg is also fantastic.

Amsterdam between 73rd and 74th
Barney Greengrass (a Sunday institution for bagels and lox)
Amsterdam between 86th and 87th
Gray’s Papaya – 72nd and Broadway
Hot dogs! (to grab as sidewalk food)
Red Rooster (West African)
Lenox between 125th and 126th
The Boathouse in Central Park. Food is average but it is a *very* pretty place. Don't go on a Saturday or Sunday... wait times are too long.

Well played. You deserve a cookie.
