My bananas have hard, dark clumps in them. The peels are not bruised. The hard clumps are strewn throughout, one even stuck to the inside of the peel.

What are these strange, hard clumps??

If they're wild bananas they could be seeds. If they are regular yellow Cavendish bananas, I'd pitch them (or return them to the store for a refund).

is this dangerous? I just found some in a bunch of bananas I bought. I bit into it before I saw them. The entire bunch had them inside the peel and on the bananas. I'm freaking out.
