Can I make Amanda's ginger duck with just legs?

The whole duck is a favorite in our house, but I've got some fresh duck legs and my son asks if I can make them the way I make he whole duck. I stick to Amanda's mother in law's recipe, as written in"cooking for mr latte".

I would think so, since the majority of the cooking is boiling. I would add the onion and celery directly into the pot. Adjust the cooking times (boiling and roasting) because individual legs will cook faster than a whole duck
