I know this is cheating but it tastes really good. Pacific organic whole berry cranberry sauce. I add cut up oranges and a little orange liquor. It comes in 15 Oz boxes so you may need more depending on how many your serving. It's not my mothers but what is.
Yes. I start with a cup of cold water and 3/4 cup sugar. Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil. Add 12 ounces fresh cranberries and one large orange, chopped into small cubes (about the size of the cranberries). Bring back to the boil and simmer for about 12 or so minutes. Turn off heat and add 2 teaspoons Cointreau or other orange liqueur. Let cool completely before serving or refrigerating.
Several!
