Looking for the best holiday appetizers

I've been away from the Food52 community these past 2 years while I fought breast cancer and just finished the last surgery last month. Want to have a holiday appetizer party with a couple of AMAZING bites. What have I missed that is a definite to add to my repertoire?

Lori, my heart goes out to you. What a journey, and what a cause for celebration. (Two of my sisters have been down that road in the past two years, with my younger sister starting radiation next week.)
These stuffed mushrooms caps stole the show at our last gathering. Utterly delicious with the bonus that they can be made ahead, up to baking, well in advance: https://food52.com/recipes...
I prepped the caps on one day, filled them the next and then baked them two days later. And they really are one-bite appetizers. Have fun - and let us know what you decide to serve. ;o)

What a good outcome! Glad to hear you're able to focus (again) on things you're interested in, like hosting a party. These appetizers are not from food52, but lovely, tasty and makeable (spelling) year round because they use jarred or frozen artichokes.

best wishes to you...just in time for the holidays...time to celebrate! ok, think pork and pork products if you eat pork. italian sausages and cured meats. mushrooms stuffed with ground pork sausage. mmmm. asparagus wrapped in prosciutto or copa. or if you like sweet, stuffed dates. a cheesy one such as baked brie or a good cheesy garlicky dip. i hope you have fun but limit the number and don't get overly ambitious.

This may be on the list that Bevi posted, but these are delicious and freeze wonderfully.

Best wishes, Lori! I have linked you to popular community pick recipes. I think there are a number of apps that are 2 years old or less. https://food52.com/recipes...
