9lb turkey, no brine, herbed butter under skin. Temp? Do you recommend 1st 30 min, upside down?

Any other complimenting herbs with butter, rosemary, garlic, etc. ?? To flip or not to flip??

And here's another source: If the turkey isn't stuffed, Foodsafety.gov recommends setting your oven to 325º F and cooking it for 2 3/4 to 3 hours (3 to 3 1/2 hours if stuffed).
