I just put a 9 inch cheesecake recipe into an 8 inch springform pan?
I just put a 9 inch cheesecake recipe into an 8 inch springform pan & popped it into the oven. It is full to the rim. Have I ruined it? Will it be done in the 1 hour that the recipe states or should I cook it longer?

Just bake it for a bit longer, maybe by 7-10 minutes. You should be fine.
