I want to make shepherd's pie tonight, but I don't have any beef broth, bullion, or milk. The only thing I have is cream of chicken soup (if only it was cream of mushroom!)...would that work?
Any other suggestions in place of beef broth?
So I tried it anyway and it worked out pretty well. The after-taste of the chicken didn't really match the rest of the dish, but it still worked in a pinch. Everyone went for seconds!
