thank you! i think there was some user error on this one, i ended up using a slotted spoon to serve this, fishing the meat &amp;amp; rice &amp;amp; egg out of the water....

Hi, you can poach the egg separately and add to the top or add a little extra water and cook it in the pot of rice. Don’t drain; the water reduces as the eggs cooks.
