I would like to make this recipe but do not like coffee what can I substitute? Can I make it without coffee,will it be the same?

Coffee has a flavor, so no it would not be the same. If you don't like coffee of course you can substitute another liquid, like water or maybe cola, but the flavor balance may go way off with out the roasty bitter notes from the coffee. I think it would be tough to do, and would find a different recipe or be prepared for a much sweeter dish.
