Balsamic marinade + BBQ sauce?

I am marinating chicken in a balsamic marinade and I wonder if I can finish it off with a barbecue sauce? Or will the two flavors conflict too much?

I would worry it will burn since basalmic and bbq sauce have some sugars. Try the bbq sauce as the table as a condiment, depends what’s in the marinade and the bbq sauce if it’s tasty or too sweet together
