What size stick of butter (in tablespoons)?

I recently made a pie crust that called for 'x' sticks of butter, but it became clear as I incorporated the butter that what I had on hand (full-size) and what the recipe meant (half-sticks) differed.

One stick of butter is 8 Tablespoons (1/2 a cup.) So, it looks like this recipe calls for one cup (16 Tablespoons. )
