AP Flour substituted for corn starch

Have you tried subbing the corn starch for AP flour? Does AP flour have enough starch in it for this to work or will I just get a weird gloopy fry?

Hi Liana! Sorry to say, but AP flour will not work here. It will indeed make for a heavier, gloopier shell. You could try a lighter flour like rice or tapioca, though!
