Doubletree chocolate chip cookie recipe

Make the cookies according to directions and they were very soupy. Wonder if the amount of rolled oats (1/2 cup) was wrong. Many recipes I have made successfully called for equal amounts of rolled oats and flour. Suggestions or comments?

If the cookies were soupy, sounds like the sugar and the butter was not creamed properly and/or the dough wasn't chilled enough when it was baked in the oven. 2 sticks of butter is a lot of butter but there are enough of the other ingredients including the oats to provide structure for the cookie. I usually give cookie dough a nice long chill in the fridge before I bake it.
