Can skirt steak and flank steak both be Mae marinaded for 24 hours?

I'm making carne asada with a recipe that calls for marinading flank steak for 24 hours. I bought a piece of flank steak and a piece of skirt steak. I've found conflicting information about how long to marinade skirt steak and am trying to decide when to add the skirt steak to the marinade. Can I marinade the skirt steak for 24 hours as well or should I add it to the marinade after I start the flank steak?

You should start the flank steak in the marinade by itself 24 hours in advance.

The skirt steak should be marinated for no more than 10 hours, so you'll want to start its marinating process no more than ten hours before you plan to begin cooking it. ;o)
