Would the cake survive freezing?

Our apple tree went bananas this year - and I'm trying to use them all up - but we are appled out! Can I make this and freeze it for later?

I probably wouldn't freeze this cake. The fruit once frozen will have a different texture, and could "weep" a bit if it's exposed on the top, as shown in the cake the photo. ;o)
