How much apple should we use by weight??

Japanese apples are huge! Each was 370g = 0.8lbs each before peeling and coring. 4 apples were 1.48 kilos = 3.26 lbs! I baked it for 75 minutes but it still seemed not completely done and it doesn’t hold together. The flavor is wonderful. But I think there were too many apples in what I did.

"Large" is general, so roughly 10 oz or 300 grams each, 2.5 lb or 1.2 kg total.

Pamela...or use even less, as my general weight was close to yours. Try 2 lb or 900 grams total apples for the recipe.
