That's a pretty safe assumption and that's how I would proceed. I've made several of Emiko Davies' recipes and they work as written. Thankfully she follows the convention of listing ingredients in the order they are used (not all recipe authors do this unfortunately).

If you do an Internet search (yes, one of those old time behaviors) for "amalfi pean and ricotta cake" you'll encounter a very similar recipe.

This looks like another excellent cake from Emiko and I wish you the best of luck.
