Thinning pecan pie filling to create a sauce

Recipe called it pecan pie sauce, but I cooked it too long so it's very firm. I need to thin it by tomorrow mid- morning!

You could try gently heating it with some heavy cream or milk to loosen it, whisking so everything comes together. I hope that works!
