Can this cake be used for cakesicles?

Has anyone made cakesicles using this recipe? I'm thinking about using the cake part for cakesicles and would like to know if the cake needed to be refrigerated if there was not custard or ganache on it? I'd like to make the cake part one day and then coat the cakesicles in chocolate and decorate on the following day.

I think you mean cake pops? I make cake pops out of every cake I make from cutting off the dome on top. Just mix with ganache or buttercream until it's the consistency you like and then freeze them on a baking sheet. When they're frozen, dip them in the coating chocolate and freeze them on the baking sheet. Once frozen, you can put them all into a large ziploc bag and keep in the freezer. I take one out of the freezer about an hour before I eat lunch and it's perfect for my after-lunch dessert. :-) They're much easier to coat when they're frozen, or at least chilled. Good luck!
