Eggs? Where are they? What's replacing tbem?

Are there no eggs in this recipe? And if so what's replacing the eggs? I'm confused by this. But don't want to waste the ghee and such If it's supposed to have eggs. Also Could I used all ghee?

No, there are no eggs in the recipe. This is not unheard of, although it is unusual- there are recipes designed for cookies which don't call for eggs or which use a substitute. Eggs help provide fat and binding, as well as some moisture- but this can be done by other things. In this recipe you are using ghee- which provides both fat and moisture, as well as a small amount of liquid, regular butter, and brown sugar which is also moist with added molasses. The author says you can use all ghee instead of the additional butter, so long as it is semi-solid or soft, rather than liquid. So I presume you could do so. I have not, although I have made the recipe for a friend with an egg allergy and it worked out just fine. In fact, I did not have a non-dairy milk on hand at the time, and used milk without thinking about it. It also worked out just fine.
