Can these be frozen and saved?

I want to make them and save them. Can I freeze these? If so for how long?

Since they are a variation of a truffle, and the directions say to freeze them for at least an hour- it shouldn't be a problem to keep them frozen longer. That is providing you freeze them in layers in an airtight container, separated by wax paper or parchment. I've never kept the type I make frozen for more than a month, so I can't give you a final life expectancy here. I would not expect them to do well for more than perhaps two months- so if you made them now to take to holiday parties in the next few weeks you should be fine. It's best to freeze the balls without the coating though, although you can do it afterward. If you freeze dipped balls, sometimes the coating will crack and fall off in the thawing. It's relatively easy to dip the frozen balls in coating when you want to have them though, and you won't run into that problem that way.
