Make Ahead Option - Can I refrigerate it?

Hey! I'm excited to try this recipe but I wanted to have it ready as a breakfast treat on Christmas morning. Would it work to refrigerate the dough after tossing in the cinnamon sugar and placing in the Bundt pan? I'm hoping I could make most of the recipe the evening before and then take it out of the fridge for it's second rise in the morning.

In principle, yes.
I often make bread (sweet or savory) with a refrigerator rise. Usually just in a bowl, then remove from fridge, shape, next rise, bake. So it has at least two risings - long slow one in fridge for ball of dough, shorter one at room temp after the dough has been shaped and put in a pan.

If you're going to work the dough all the way through to the step where it's cut up, shaped and then rolled in cinnamon sugar, it will already have had ONE room-temp rising before you put it in the pan.

Then, in the fridge overnight it will have a SECOND (slower because of the lower temp) rise.

So when you take it out of the fridge in the morning, it will in effect be having a THIRD rise, so it doesn't have to be 1-2 hours long. Just enough to take the chill off and/or for your oven to warm up.
