French Silk Pie. Related? Or parallel development?

Seems almost identical to a French Silk Pie, ingredients wise. Maybe a cousin? Or a Step-Sister? Pretty sure one inspired the other.

Except that the pie is not cooked! So, you know, eat at your own risk!

The only pie I'm willing to risk my life for.

To me, it seems more similar to a flourless chocolate cake, especially since it's not custard-based--but when you're talking about chocolate, butter, and eggs, there are many delicious combinations of ingredients and techniques :)
