Belgian-made Demeyere cookware is heralded by chefs all over Europe, and have earned a spot in many a home kitchen, too. Known for sleek design and forward-thinking technology, Demeyere has been family-operated since its beginnings outside of Antwerp.
To get to know our Belgian-made stainless steel cookware from Demeyere even better, we went all the way to their factory in Antwerp to see how it's made. Take a look behind the scenes and check them out in our Shop.
With ergonomic handles that are welded on without the use of rivets, our Demeyere is all smooth on the interior (that is, oh-so easy to clean!). They're also treated to to stay shiny and silver for longer than other stainless steel cookware, broiler- and oven-safe up to 500º, and engineered for high-performance on induction surfaces (though they'll work on any kind of cooktop).
Demeyere's stay-cool, ergonomic handles are welded to the body of the cookware without the use of rivets—for a completely smooth interior that's a cinch to clean.
Demeyere invited iconic British architect John Pawson to design a cookware line in his sleek, minimalistic style: the ultimate marriage of high design and high performance. The stunning cookware has the same usability and durability you can expect from Demeyere—plus the looks of a piece of modern art.
We interviewed John Pawson to find out what exactly goes into designing a cookware line—and got to learn his favorite color, too. Head to the article below to meet John!

An induction-loving, 7-layer "Triplinduc" base on our Proline fry pan gets roaring hot—15-30% faster than other frying pans—and stays hot while you cook. It's going to get you your best sear yet. The pouring edge means less spills, and it's also dishwasher-safe due to a "closed rim" that ensures the aluminum core won't leak out at high temperatures.
Designed with chefs in mind—and in the case of Food52 readers, those home cooks who value precision and efficiency—the Apollo line is Demeyere’s most purely functional: The sides are a single layer of stainless steel, which insulates the heat radiating from the extra-thick base without emitting any excess.
They're also high design: No logos and clean-lined handles make these pots and pans stand out on the rack.
For over a century, four generations of Demeyeres have led and grown this company to be a leader in their field—in Belgium and far beyond.
And our co-founder Merrill so loved the Beer Sabayon that Demeyere's chef made us during our visit that she nabbed the recipe and is bringing it to Food52.
